The John Day greenhouse is a vertically-integrated community supported agriculture project to help increase local self-reliance and promote controlled environment agriculture in our region. The greenhouse is owned and operated by the City of John Day as a division of its public works department. Produce is sold to local grocers, restaurants and direct to consumer. All proceeds are reinvested in the greenhouse and other community development projects that benefit local residents.
